Like I was saying in another thread, I collect more stuff from other companies nowadays, because these other companies are making characters / figures / sets I've wanted to see for years. I've definitely foregone sculpt quality for variety at this point, which is something I never thought I'd do. In other words, I feel these other companies aren't quite as good as McF artistically, but I've learned to focus on other things - like the excitement I feel over a certain character getting a figure. Even if that character turns out crappy because a company other than McF made it, hey, at least we FINALLY got a figure of that character.

I think I mainly collect NECA, Mezco and the remaining Muppets stuff at this point. I still buy some Spawn stuff and the Monsters series from McF. But other than that, they don't make much stuff that interests me any more.

But things have changed over the years, and I've learned to accept that. I still love McF and will always support them...I think my website speaks for me on that issue. But it honestly seems like McF isn't all that interested in being supported by the fans any more, whereas they once thrived on it. They just kind of do their own thing now without much regard to good or bad comments from the fans. I feel like McF's attitude nowadays is kind of like, 'Here's our shit, if you like it, great. If not, oh well. We aren't really interested in getting personal about it any more'.

I have the neck and pickups... the body I won on ebay (already painted green, so I'll just call it me shelalee ) I have a fender hard tail bridge, but I'm seriously considering one of the Hipshot hardtail bridges from Stewmac.

Kiss figs got me into McFarlane and then I started reading the comics again. Psycho Circus, Cy-Gor, The Creech, Spawn and all it's incarnations. I lost interest in the comics and have more than enough versions of Spawn figs to last me awhile.

I'd say that McFarlane is still my main toy company but my interests have narrowed to music, Red Wings and robots figs. Oh yeah, and dragons too.

I haven't bought any McFarlane stuff since the dragon line. Or was Motley Crue after that? I bought 3 robots and a Buck Rogers spaceship though.

Actually, I'm making more stuff than I'm buying right now.

I like how it looks in that pic.

but I'd add those Schlager(sp) machine heads...
I'm way off on that name, I'm sure, but you probably know what I mean.

The Fender neck already has the Sperzel locking tuners.

My Jackson has Schaller non-locking tuners, and a floyd lock nut.

The best part about this body is being able to put that cool fender neck on a body that's just as cool... then I can put my pointy Charvel headstock back on the blue mighty mite body (single humbucker, floyd rose... very Eddie.)

Here's the body from the auction...

Peek... mahogany with a quilted maple top.

Soooo much better than the Ernie Ball Axis model which is Quilted maple on a basswood body, or the Peavy version which is a thin quilt veneer on a basswood body.

It was made by warmoth. The auction states there is some checking in the finish, but I was interested in a guitar that looks great from a few feet away, but could be a versatile and durable road warrior.

I don't dare take my oil finished Charvel San Dimas into a smoke filled bar where it would get sweat and beer all over it.
